Description: The heart of any serious home entertainment system is a burly A/V receiver that acts as central command for all the connected components. Thanks to this receiver's Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit-HD (DDSC-HD) technology, all of your audio content can be accurately reproduced over 7 channels. There's plenty of room for DVD players, game consoles, HDTVs, external speaker systems, PCs and more to get hooked up, and a host of technology enhancements provide exceptional video and audio performances.

Summary:
This is without a doubt the best value AVR on the market today. The things this black box can do are just short of a computer with a sound card on steroids. If you want excellent surround sound, networking, & upgradability the 3808 is the ticket.
I like to tweek things, and being able to do that from my laptop makes it very easy. With a laptop I can access just about every feature and adjust/control it.

If you are in the market for a new AVR I would make sure you check the 3808 out.

Strengths:
Features
Sound Quality
Upgradeable
XM/Sirius
Networking

Weaknesses:
The remote(s) should be used to collect dust as a paper weight on top of the manual. I guess Denon had to cut the cost somewhere and they did it in the remote department.
