Summary:
Since this hasn't been reviewed yet, I thought I'd post a warning that the advertised "dual tape monitor loops" don't actually function as tape monitor loops. Yes, they let you record, play tapes, and record from tapes (i.e. using two decks). But you can't use these would-be loops as actual loops . That is, you can't send a line-level signal from the eq to, say, a remote line level controller or a sonic hologram generator and then actually hear the results. Alas, there's a nasty "line/tape" switch forcing you to choose between the line input (from your source) and the tape input (from the thing you wanted to put in the loop). So you simply can't hear back what you send out. Hence these aren't really tape monitor loops. Bottom line: if your preamp has only one tape monitor loop and you use it for this eq, you'll have no other (real) tape monitor loop. Otherwise, the eq works fine. It adds no noise that I can hear and does its equalization duties most admirably. (Though I should add that I have no experience with other eq's, and don't actually equalize very often.)

Strengths:
Does its job

Weaknesses:
"Tape monitor loops" phony
