Summary:
I own a Sugden AU-41 & A21a combination. Both units sounds very open with a lot of air around the instruments.
This let's you see a perfect image about the instruments and musicians.
The music makes you swing on this amp.
Most people think an 25 watt Classe A amplifier need easy speakers. Well not this Sugden combination. I've heard them on T+A TAL 110 transmissionline and Quad Esl-63 speakers and that goes well. In a direct review with a Krell 300I integrated amp the sugden has more space and more treble than the krell.
A perfect amplifier combination for the money...
You must be stupid not reviewing this system when your looking for a musical amp.

Summary:
I just bought this unit to replace an old Hafler SE110, this move proves that the pre-amp is the most important piece of equipment in any system. After plugging it and starting to listen to the music, I noticed a eerie sence to the music, evething was flowing out of the speakers, whereas before, it was thrown at me. the highs are soooooo sweet and the mids are all there but not too forward. Bought second hand for 700 cdn $, it's a steal and I compared it to the big Bryston Pre-amp at 2300$. the Sugden has a smoother and richer sound. For me it's a +5 stars, but I'll be realistic and give it a 4. Happy listening. Dan
