Bottom Line:
If your looking for a Tube preamp w/HT bypass give the Primaluna Dialogue 3 an audition. Fit and finish is equal to anything at twice the price. I auditioned CJ, BAT, and Cary and this unit was up to all of them. Soundstage is deep and wide and matched w/my modified Threshold T-50's my Aerials never sounded better. The dialogue matches well w/solidstate amps. I mention this because of the HT/bypass many people will be using it w/surround sound systems which in most cases have solid state amps. The tubes that came w/the Dialogue 3 were good but I decided to kick it up a notch and replaced the 4 12AU7's w/4 matched Military Grade NOS RCA 6189 JRC Black Plate 12AU7WA's from 1962. The sound went from A to A++. Not many reviews out there on this unit but if your looking for something in this catagory it's worth the audition. The sources I'm using a 25 yr. old Linn Sondek lp12 and a McIntosh MVP-851 CD/DVD player.
