Strength:

Ability to deliver clear valve sound with real power delivery into a difficult load - I've spent nearly 20 years trying to find an amp that can produce great sound with Martin Logan QuestZ hybrid electrostatics. The Pathos Logos is the first amp to do this, I have tried and rejected amps from Naim, NVA, Hypex, Luxman and others.

Weakness:

I would prefer old style controls - I use the amp all the time, and find both the electronic volume control and source selector clunky compared with old style switches. It can sometimes shut down when playing at high volume into the Martin-Logans.

A brilliant amplifier! What else one needs to say, the Italians have done it once again.

Namely, the warm tube sound on the preamp stage combined with the power of transistors in the power amp section makes Logos a perfect tube-hybrid amp. Bass is strong and accurate, at least with a pair of Phillips E188C tubes. In general, you are able to get the most out Logos by finding a pair of really good sounding tubes. I found Philips to be the best effort after the original tubes(Sovtek) and the old NOS Siemens. Treble section is very sweet and tidy, too. One is really able to enjoy Logos with any kind of music, and yes, there is power to drive almost any load e.g. 110W in 8 ohms and 220W in 4 ohms. That should really be enough power for most speakers available on the market.

The finish is very beautiful and stylish indeed. Speaker and other inputs are very sturdy and gold-plated. There is nothing but the simple form and the functions. The wooden front panel and remote are made from padauk tree and they are simply something that is impossible to find anywhere else and damn, they look good. Logos is also available with the black padauk three front panel and remote.
