Bottom Line: Summary:
Certainly one of the best pre-amplifier in the near universe and by far the best I've heard.
Redefines what soundstage and dynamic can mean.
Real full bodied sound (not a scalpel at all), amazing on a violin (never heard it so close to reality).
Gigantic for a pre, well built, plenty of possibilities (6 outputs, 10+ inputs).
Perfect finish and packaging (flight case)
Strengths:
Realistic soundstage, wide & deep, stable
Amazing dynamic and precision
Deep bass, aerial highs.
Perfect service (I'm living in France)
Weaknesses:
Size and look for some people (black/silver can be more discreet)
Not cheap but quite reasonable compared to the others in the top 10.

Strengths: Huge soundstage, vivid musical expressions, the bass was fast with authority.
24-karat plated volume knob prevents from getting oxidized.
Much better than the 5011 pre-amp.Weaknesses: Poor customer service of the company.
Some remote control problems happened after 3 months of purchase, the component was sent to the Germany company, and it has been more than 3 months, still not repaired. I e-mailed the company, but no response at all.
It's really a pity to have such lousy customer service at all.
Based on the condition I encoountered, mbl not recommended.Bottom Line: Built in Robust case, elegant style and really eye-catching outlook.

Strengths: outlook
sound stage
Weaknesses: poor service of the company
Bottom Line: 6010D is the Reference line pre-amp of the MBL, it sounds much better than the 5011. The soundstage was huge, well balanced and natural.
However, to my surprise, the remote control went down after 3 months usage, the machine was sent back to the dealer, the technician in MBL still could not figure out what's wrong after 3 months. I wrote to the MBL but there was no answer.
It is a pitty to have such a machine, which sound great, but poor service of the company.
