Summary:
I am not going to use all those audiophile terms as I am too inexperienced to write a review that way.

Instead I could tell you this: The ML #26 is a superb bargain that you could find today. It clearly outperforms the Sonic Frontiers LINE 3 (which has been on Stereophile's Class A list for the longest time) in every way.

The grain on the ML#26 is actually better than the Wadia 25. As you'd expect, however, connecting Wadia 25 directly to the amp sounds better than ML #26->Wadia 25->ML #23 combo in terms of detail, soundstage and clarity.

Words of advice: It appears taht everything is optional on this preamp. Inquire about the optional build-in phono stage (mine's has it) and the optional XLR-in.

Only complaint: No remote. But who cares! Also, this preamp only takes CAMAC and XLR. So if you only have RCA terminated cables, get ready for the hassle of getting either adaptors or cables w/ different terminations.

Strengths:
Smooth, transparent and natural sounding.

Weaknesses:
No remote control (who cares!)
