Summary:
A really sweet sounding tube preamp. Lows are awesome; highs are smooth as hell without having a "rolled off" sound. Soundstaging is good, but I dont think it can compete with the resolution of solid state preamps. Overall the sound is very dynamic and smooth. Violins sound especially incredible. This preamp also allows you to have very extended listening sessions, at realistic sound levels, without ear fatigue. The unit is beautifully made. Very solid and simple.
My rig:
Llano A-200C amplifier
Alphacore MI2 biwire
Rega Planet
Alphacore Sapphire interconnects
B&W Matrix 804's
