Bottom Line: To me, the defining sonic trait of the Lector Zoe is its sparkling highs. The crash of cymbals is bold, even real. I find this preamplifier neutral overall, with the exception of a hint of warmth and forwardness in the mid-range, which gives the music wonderful presence. The Lector Zoe's sound is as solid and unwavering as its elegantly built chassis. Everything is always control d, from the palpable highs and mids to the tight bass extension. The sound-stage is big and bold, putting the musician right in the listeners room. I would highly recommend this preamp.

Bottom Line: the positives: Straight forward sound stage. very dynamic and ultra smooth. Rogue or Cary doesn't come close at 2000.00. very impressed. have been in the audio realm for over 30 years. i'm not really a tubee.. wanted a BAT but to expensive. The ZOE came highly reccommended and loved the reviews.. it is worth it.
the negatives are !) gets warm - so have proper ventalation. and crapy remote control.
