i have owned various hi fi equipment since late 1980s and i can say without hesitation for amplifiers pre or power there is nothing that comes close for long term lisening pleasure if you are lucky enough to reach this level of equiptment fm acoustic products are really second to none dont take my word for it go check them out and soon you will agree i cannot write a review on the fm 266 pre amp because words does not do the product any justice it is undescribable ok i will have ago first make shore your front end is world class second please use fm acoustics own cables third sit back and here the rest of your system like never before all for the better fourth try to partner with fm acoustic resolution amplifier using forceline speaker cables a must and fm interconnects between pre amp and power fifth sit back and enjoy lifelike music in your home for the resr of your life sixth is there any way to improve this level of musical satisfaction yes fm acoustic 268 and try another up range resolution amplifier be warned only try if you can afford to keep because nothing really comes close hope this review helps you
