Summary:
I agree with James. My search is also over. With a good amplifier that will preserve the sound quality of this preamp, you won't need to look further.

Review NaN of , from Modesto, CA USA

Price Paid:  $1000.00 from Used online

Summary:
My pre-amp search is over. It stops with the Premier 10. The quality of build impressed me, but the sound knocked my socks off! The soundstage is awesome. Vocals are smooth
and so realistic, there is a sense of air around the music which is also three dimensional. The depth and width of the soundstage leave you feeling as if you can walk right up on to the stage.
While listening to Me & Bobby Mgee by Janis Joplin, The opening guitar and vocals were so realistic you would swear they were in the room with you. When playing other types of music with the deep bass there is nothing left to be desired. The bass notes are very musical (yes, bass is musical) and deep. There is nothing lacking in the highs either. I am so pleased with the P10, that I no longer feel the desire to listen to any other pre-amp.

When compared to the LS-7, the P10 is much more natural. In fact, the LS-7 was too analytical for me. The music was too sterile. The PV-10al was just missing the mark.

I do not understand why there are no reviews on this fine Pre-amp, in fact, I almost decided against it for that very reason. For a thousand dollars used, you can't go wrong.
Prices will vary, I have yet to see one under $1000

Associated equipment: Premier 10, Sansui CDX-701, Music Reference RM-9 (with Svetlana 6550's), and Acoustat 2+2's with Medallion Transformers. I am currently looking for a Turntable to go with my tube phono amp.

Strengths:
Detail, musicality. Quality of parts and build.

Weaknesses:
No phono stage available internally.
