Review NaN of , from Toronto

Price Paid:  $700.00 from Audiogon

Summary:
Good preamp. When I first set it up I was through with an ARC SP-7; sound seemed "dark" at first but when listening more, the bright "highs" were not there and lots of details and stage. Bass is significantly better and clean. Good low noise floor but still some (I do not ground it) when comparing with CJ-12A. Not test on the phono as I play mostly CDs.

Strengths:
Sounds right and easy listening especially with the Millards. Positioning is good and overall neutral.

Weaknesses:
The time delay switch can produce a "pop" noise if speakers are on. Need good isolation and firm support without resonance.

Similar Products Used:
CJ-12A, ARC SP-7, DB-2
