Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $25000.00

Summary:
I truly don't believe that a better pre-amp is available, that is the only way that its' price point is remotely defensible. those that i have heard that are more expensive i.e. Boulder 2010, and Jadis have not bettered its' sound in any substantial manner. pair this pre-amp with any burmester transport/da combo for a front end that will entrall. I say that it's value is 3 stars signifying a fair deal (better cannot be had for less, but it is expensive) and it deserves an overall of five stars (for exceeding my exacting expectations).

Strengths:
well-chromed perfection

Weaknesses:
holy-geez the price

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
