Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Exceptional build quality from the rca''s, to the volume pots to the chassis. This is a product you could use for years without worries of failure. Not a typical tube sound; the ATC 3 won''t add syrup to your system. It will provide very nice clarity in a very slightly "up front" sound - it is inaccurate to call it bright, it is just a vibrant, vivacious product. A little thick on the upper end, and lacked transparency when compared to the Lamm LL2, but it has a single volume pot and two more input options than the LL2

Strengths:
Clarity, drive, full bass. Will not wear over time.

Weaknesses:
Bass may be a little full. Lacks the transparency of some preamps at its price range.

Similar Products Used:
Lamm LL2, Audible Illusions Modulus 2D and 3A, EAR-Yoshino 864, EAR-Yoshino 802, Alternate Audio BCap, Kora Eclipse and others.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
