Review NaN of , from Lakewood, Wa. USA

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I just purchased this preamp to mate with a Rogue 88 tube amp which I haven't received yet so I have been listening to it with an Arcam Alpha 10 power amp. The detail this preamp provides is just excellent, even at low levels! I am very impressed with it's overall sound/performance (soundstaging and ambience recovery) at it's price point. I was also very surprised to find out this unit uses a toroidal transformer usually reserved for far more expensive preamps. Even the tuner is very sensitive and pulls in distant stations with ease. The remote control offers alot of flexability. Highly recommended piece of gear for the price.

Strengths:
Sound quality, excellent tuner.

Review NaN of , from Daly City

Price Paid:  $600.00 from House Of Music

Summary:
I've had the pre-amp for 8 months now and have been totally satisfied with it's performance. The lab outs produce a clean signal for the main amp which in turn makes for a clear, warm sound. This pre-amp is hooked up to a pair of Rogue M120 mono-blocks and KEF Q7s which sound great!

Strengths:
I'd say value. The tuner / pre-amp combination saves the hassle of another box. Sound is clear with the lab outs, perfect match for tube amps if your on a budget.

Weaknesses:
Haven't found one yet.

The perfect companion to the Adcom 5400 amp. No compaints with this one.

Review NaN of , from clawson, MI

Price Paid:  $460.00 from elegant audio, yonkers, NY

Summary:
....this tuner sounds great! The other sources sound full rich and well rounded when put through this pre amp. I can't complain about anything except for the apperant absence of an indicator for the controls mentioned above. At $460 the gtp 502 was the ideal choice having eliminated the possibility of a surround sound system.

Strengths:
beutiful sound, nice layout

Weaknesses:
no display for dial position for base, tone and ballance positions.

Review NaN of , from Tampa, FL

Price Paid:  $495.00 from Lee's Audio Video

Summary:
What a great sounding unit! Compared to my B&K, this has really cleaned things up. Also it has a nice simple front panel design. B&K's looked fancy, but what a pain to just change inputs. The Adcom is straight forward and simple.

The Lab Out's are fantastic as well. If you are using a power system, it makes the sound even better.

Great product, great build quality, Adcom has done it again!

Strengths:
Simple Layout, Great Tuner, "Coutour" feature provides good loudness feature, LabOut's for great sound.

Weaknesses:
Not enough inputs.

Similar Products Used:
B&K PT3, Yamaha pre-amps.
