Bottom Line: This little amp packs all the virtues tube amps and SS amps with the ability to drive real world speakers. Ok, It will not play trippingly loud as it is only 50watts, but sounds loud as more than 100watts.
bass transients take on a suddenness that is to say the least..stunning. midrange takes on a spooky "you are there" realism and a coherency in the sound stage that makes almost all other amps on the planet sound broken! even plugged straight into the wall, this amp is killer but you need to wait for a 3-4 days for electricity to get in there properly as this amp should be left on at all times. It works even great on speakers with 4ohms and low sensitivity and it plays well when quiet as well as loud., even on the most demanding material.
Pure magic. It is transparent and very fast and its low end belies its 50 watt rating. the midrange is truly to die for. I am very excited about this piece of audio equipment. i listen to predominately acoustics, female vocals, jazz and classical. The low end is surprisingly quick and full. It is good for rock music as well, it was fast with Dire Straits and resonant to my chest wall as well as most of the pictures and furniture in my home. It played well with volumes much higher than any neighbor would tolerate if my nearest wasn't several hundred yards away. I can't say enough good things about this amp, just listen to it and you will love it.
Great little amp with huge heart, pardon huge transformer, simple design and fast musical sound full of midrange energy with full bass.
