I have had the Rega Brio R for 3 months. The amplifier has been used extensively on daily basis. There were in deed many positive points, a solid and transparent sound for example. Two things bothered me though. The first one were the tiring mid-high frequencies, which have already been an object of some critisism. I have also read, that many haven't have any such issues and have even found the sound polite. Really strange! The second thing was simply the fact that i haven't ever caught myself to believe, that i am listening to the real thing. A few budget amplifiers can achieve this, regardless of weaknesses. The Brio cannot. I respect the Rega factory, i found its turntables fantastic for example, in fact i own one. But this particular Rega was not for me.
