Strength:

Great control of bass, lots of power, simple but elegant design, good value for money

Weakness:

remote control a little fussy

I bought the NAD 319 9 months ago, and every now and then it's still surprising me of it's terrific sound while going through my CD-collection. It's highs aren't harsh, it's lows are just great.. It can play all kind of music from Jazz to modern house. Only problem I have that the remote control must be pointed exactly at the amplifier before it functions properly. It's power makes it ideal for big speakers. (I own Mission 735i which are 105 cm (3.5 feet) high.. )

Strength:

you get never tired of hearing to the clear and (!) powerful sound.

Weakness:

it is an english amplifier, so with the wrong components
it will sound a bit too dominant at high frequencies.

Excellent amplifier, I love it and don´t want to miss it.
I´ve heard much more expensive amplifiers (and sound systems) with not as good performance. With my marantz cd 63
se cd-player(which is an ideal companion for the nad 319)
and my canton speakers you get real audiophil sound for an affordable amount of money. If you see one used, buy one! you won´t be disapointed.

Strength:

Power, Clarity, smooooooooooooooooooooth sound, price-quality

Weakness:

1 pair of speakers only, odd remote

I've been using the 319 for about 7 months now and it never fails to surprise me.

The build quality is much better than they say. But best of all is the sound. A few details: Lots of Power, Deep controlled powerful bass, Excellent highs.

As you see, this machine has no real shortcombings and therefore is really recommendable.

Strength:

Powerful bass and very detailed sound stage

Weakness:

only one set of speaker connectors.

I am a fan of Nad. none of their products has failed me. Upgrading from a NAD 304(which was upgraded from NAD 310)the Nad 319 was a real performer. It had a very detailed soundstage making this amp very versatile. You can use thia as a party machine and at the next moment listen to the most complex musical arrangement.

My only gripe is its lack of a second set of speaker connectors.

My system consists of:

Amplifier : NAD 319

CD Players : NAD C520
AMC CD 6

Speakers : Tannoy Mercury M2

One word of advice people , be prepared to allow a lot of breathing space for this amp, it gets warm i mean really warm after an hour of use. The sound gets much warmer and natural. I once ran the 319 for 8 hours straight! The casing was hot but with good ventilation no problems were encountered and you know the sound was SUPERB!

Strength:

Bass

Weakness:

Built quality, lacks detail, remote, gets hot, cheap connectors between pre and main amp

After about 4 months the problems started. A load bang through the speakers and after that one channel was gone. Took the thing back to the shop that sent it back to the importer for repairs. After a month I got it back with the problem still in it. The guys at the shop were so friendly (thank you Hobo!) to buy it back. Now i have got a Meridian 551 and what a difference that is!
My advice is to stay away from the NAD 319.

I bought the NAD 319 for a year ago, and i'm quite happy about it. I used to have a NAD 3020, but the 319 is much better i must say. I also tried the 319 against others in the same price class, but no one could compete with it.

this is the amp i decided on as the start of building a decent component system for my self. the amp doesnt seem to lack much, but carries alot of punch in the bass. i use this mated to a pair of dynaudio audience 5 speakers with XLO/VDO ER15 speaker cable. i have no regrets with my selection.

I owned a 319 for about 14 months. I first used it with a pair of Cerwin-Vega DC-15. A very large speaker, which can handle 500 Watts continously. The amp managed to keep the 15" woofers punching with a lot of control, but not perfect.
When I moved to a much smaller place, I bought a pair of B&W P6 (see my review) instead. This was a wise change, the 319 being able to really show its strength; a clear, neutral sound with great bass presence.
A great amp for the price.

Strength:

Power, price-value, sound qualities

Weakness:

remote controle

I bought the NAD 319 about 4 months ago. I was looking for an allround aplifier with great sound qualities and lots of power. I found it all in the NAD 319.

In the beginning I didn't know what its capabilities were, but after hearing it with a Meridian 508.24 cd player, I knew I'd bought an excellent machine. What a price-value!!!!

Highly recomendable!!!

Strength:

Its power and in the same time it's cristal clear clarity. I love it's design simple without fancy buttons and lights

Weakness:

only 1 speaker set, and I had to replace the new battery's after just two weeks aswell as the precision aming before the amp picks up the remote signal. It get's very warm even when hardly used it's not a problem thow but don't put any other equipment on top of the amp cause of the ventilation.
(it get's a bit to warm without other equipment stacked on top.

I bought this amp after a demonstration in the shop, at that time it was linked to two massive speakers the size of a fridge and it sounded deffening loud.

I love the fact that I never got it over a quarter of it's power because it become's to loud. I use it with a marantz C700 cdplayer and a set of Kef Coda 10 floor standing speakers
