Price Paid:  $2400.00 from Audiogon

Summary:
The Linar is a true Audiophile product that has the ability to be used as a home theatre 5.1 amplifier. Very easy to setup and use. I've owned the Pass Labs X600's, Threshold T400, Boulder 500AE, McCormack DNA225, and Muse 300's. I can tell you that the only one that comes close to the musicality, detail, and involvemnet of the Linar 10 are the X600's. After 30 years of changeing components in and out of my system, I finally have a system that is affordable, runs cool, highly musical, and doubles as a high end HT amp. On top of all this, you also get a first rate remote controlled pre-amp built in.

Strengths:
Versitile, muciscal, bass, detail, non-fatiguing, involving, pace, warmth, and build quality.

Weaknesses:
None.

Similar Products Used:
McCormack MAP-1, DNA-225, and HT-3. Pass Labs X600, Muse 300, Sumo Andromeda II, and Aragon 8008BB.

Price Paid:  $3200.00 from Linar

Summary:
This product is as unique as it is outstanding. It is the perfect integrated to own for a 2ch addict wanting to expand into HT from time to time while maintaining borderline Class A sound. I say borderline as it is ranked as a Class B but it consistently bettered two Class A integrated in my system....one of the best combo of SS punch/power and tube warmth/immediacy. Partnered with a pair of Triangle Celius ES and fed by a Denon 5910, this integrated is a dream machine. Built like a tank, heavy like a horse.

Strengths:
Power, transparency and warmth

Weaknesses:
None I could detect

Similar Products Used:
only 2ch integrated amp, YBA Passion and Brinkman.
