Strength:

Strength:

Sound stage, holographic is very good.I confirm evrything the previous review said, the performance is very live, matched with a turn table it sings ....
The bass is perfect, the mids are never borring and the highs are realistic.
Case is very high quality.

Weakness:

For some people this soud is too much realistic, whatever you listen with it will captivate you for its good rythm and dynamics, forget the clinical sound of expensive hifi gear : that can be a weakness or a strenght. The sound is sometimes harsh in the upper middle range and electronic sounding overall : i still never heared a transistor amp with no electronic sound. The only thing this amp lacks compaired to 8 k tubes ones is this.

Best in the 10 k price range so far if pair with harbeth speakers and is in a treated room.

Strength:

Airy, smooth high extension. Seductive vocals and very transparent; incredibily quiet nosie noise floor. Wide and deep soundstage. Reveals inner details and re-creates concert hall atmosphere.

Weakness:

lacks ultimate bass authority and weight.

There's not alot of review on this amp when i google, therefore i decided to post my experience.

This integrated amp is very dynamic and has excellent transients. I listened to alot of jazz and classical, this amp brings out the best in the recording, with very high transparency and resolves the minute details that recreates concert hall atmosphere. At the same time, i played 2-channel movies using this amp and the attack and realism is very believable. What you read in the stereophile about this amp is true but the review didn't mentioned at all about it's performance in bass. Not that it lack of bass drive; no, it does produce deep bass when required but without the authority in weight and grip like the finest class-A SS amps like Plinius SA-100MKII that i had used before. But it's able to drive my dynaudio 1.8MKII very well. When listen to music, i always turn to 9 o'clock position and when watching movies, 10-11 o'clock position. It's very loud (to me) at that level. If you want the bass authority, i suggest you look else where, personally i would recommend Plinius 9200 int amp though i never try, but it should match my speakers well. But of course, the price difference is quite alot if you could afford. At this price point, Creek Desitny is very hard to beat; i agree with stereophile review that this amp betters many separates in extremely quiet background, transparency and seductive and sweet vocals, resolution, airiness, strong midbass. very tubey but without the warm and heat of tube amps! Also it lacks in ultimate bass authority (if it's important to you). But this amp is neutral and musical, quite an engineering achievement.

Leave this amp in standby mode; it consumes only 3W and once turn on for 30mins-1hr playing time, it'll easily sound the best. It never runs hot in anytime even leaving in ON state for days.

Please remember that system matching is critical, i almost wanted to change my amp/speakers after a month, but giving more patience to burning in and especially after changing my cables from signal cable to coincident extreme cablings, the improvements better in every audiophile aspects. But i had to pay 4 times more the price! I'm truly satisfied now. My next upgrade might probably be Plinius 9200 because of bass authority, but i might be trading some qualities away....so maybe i might keep this amp afterall for a long long time until my upgrade bug hits me!!

I'm rating 4-stars for overall because of lack in ultimate bass. As usual, think about your musical taste and audition it (if possible) before you buy.

Strength:

Liquidity - Articulation - Soundstage - Bass

Weakness:

Must use with load tolerant speker

This amp is very seductive sounding - of course with the right speakers - Almost tubelike without the neurosis. Articulates well and can ride a rythm forever. I would say this is best naim nait 5i that naim never built.

This amp is a treasure - it revels all the illusion of a great hifi product - another bargain that reaches well out of its class

Again, only use with a easier load type of speaker - ok with 4 ohms as long as load is easy -

A giant step up from the 5350 se with loads more class and refinemen!!!!!
