We have been using our A5 for nearly a year now, non-stop, as the always on output and multiplexer for our home entertainment/ home music studio setup based around a Mac, Yamaha keyboard and a Cambridge Audio cd6 cd player.
It performs beautifully in this role, channel separation is good even with 3 inputs going at once at decent levels, does it not mix into the selected channel. You do hear the other chanels if another is going at very,very high levels.
The mac's line out goes to its av/dvd in and the recording output feeds back to the mac's line in, allowing recording from any one of the other channels it is selected to.
Volume is loud enough to be too loud to watch a movie at full amplification, with the source set about 50%.
In summary it works very nice as a budget multi-purpose amp that's weaknesses wil l only become apparent if you hook it up to components costing more than it. It could only be better if it had a headphone output.
