Price Paid:  $1699.00 from AVA HiFi

Summary:
I originally purchased a used Omega III HC, but had it upgraded to the OmegaStar EX HC. (Original sale price was 1k; the upgrade price was 1k.)

Quite simply--this amp does everything "right", if not perfectly. Perhaps the best compliment that I can use is to say that I never have to think about this amp; it allows me to concentrate both physically and emotionally on the music.

Another thing about this amp is that you really can't tax it. It's always got power to spare. (And it's driving a very difficult load of full-range electrostatic speakers, with a nominal load < 4 ohms.)

The bass is perfect; the midrange is perfect; the highs are perfect.

In Summary: This is my last amp that I'll buy.

Price Paid:  $825.00 from from private owner

Summary:
There really isn't much to say here because this is just a completely neutral amp. What goes in is what comes out. Solid state doesn't get better than this, and only a very few tube or hybrid amps beat it.

Strengths:
It's powerful, liquid, grain-free, and noise-free. It comes across as a straight wire with gain. It's as good or better than amps costing 10 times the price or more.
