Summary:
Owned from new, has proved very reliable, without developing any faults,crackles or hums despite 12 years of daily use, so very happy with build quality.

Sound is smooth but still detailed. Recent direct comparison to Denon PMA355UK (a similarly priced amp when new) showed the Denon to be harsh and tiring in comparison, though the Denon did offer more weight to the bass.

Also compared directly to the SU-A700, which has an even smoother sound than the SU-A600 Mk3, but otherwise very similar, despite its extra few watts of power.

Purchase price new in GB pounds.

Strengths:
Smooth and detailed sound is comfortable to listen to.
Build quality and long term reliability
Absolute bargain second hand now

Weaknesses:
Lack of sheer grunt
