Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $990.00 from Caxton Audio, Brisba

Summary:
This is a lovely pre-amp that is perfectly matched to the Quad 909 power amp. It's not quite as warm as my long gone Quad II, but it has similar virtues of separation and clarity. There is more front-to-back than I've heard from previous sets up that I've owned, and the reproduction of mid-range frequencies is quite extraordinary.
I would recommend it to anyone who has owned a Quad pre-amp in the past -it's better than the 33 and 34. One word of warning - no tone controls.

Strengths:
Clear, honest sound.
Beautiful midrange.
Good looking little unit.

Weaknesses:
No tone controls (for those who want them).
Analogue connections only.
