Price Paid:
$0.00 Summary: This has been a long time coming. I've had alot of amplifiers in my time The last two amps I had was a Classe Omega Stereo 500 watts per channel .And a Plinius SA100MK3. Both great amps but really expensive. I have enjoyed the sevens more than any amp I have ever owned period! I wont get into all the audiophile babel but they simply do everything better and with the money I saved I bought a ton of records. I bought these amps from Upscale Aaudio from Kevin. The customer service is incredible he always has time to talk. And he just flat out loves to listen to music. I have sold audio for many years and he is truley one of the best retailers I have ever worked with. So if you are looking for amps at any price you would be a fool not to put the sevens on your list

Review 2 of 9
Price Paid:
$2695.00
from Upscale Audio Summary: Just what the Dr. ordered ProLogue Sevens, we let them burn for 48 hours before we even sat down for a listen and was I ever happy we bought them.
Same smooth, detailed sound we were used to with the ProLogue 5 stereo amp, only seemed to have a larger sound stage with better separation. These are hands down the best amps you can buy anywhere at this price or even twice the price I researched different tube amps for almost a year before I decided on the sevens. If you want a tube amp that you do not HAVE to mess with all the time or worry about a tube failing and damaging something else on the amp THESE ARE FOR YOU!!!! Strengths: Sound.
Build Quality.
Ease of use.
Looks.
VALUE. Weaknesses: NONE Similar Products Used: Classe, Marantz, NAD, Simm, Parasound, BAT.

Price Paid:
$2695.00
from Upscale Audio Summary: We have had the ProLogue for a little over two months now with around 75 hours on them and they continue to improve every time we listen. My wife and I started with a ProLogue 5 over a year ago because they were not making a monobloc amplifier at that time, as soon as I noticed the sevens I knew it was only a matter of time before they would be in our system, boy was it worth the wait they seem to have opened up the soundstage with our system and are very dynamic! Plus if you are new to tubes these are very user friendly you will never have to bias a tube or worry aboout buying matched power tubes EVER due to the adaptive auto bias circuit and the Sevens look very nice. The Prima products seem to be very accurate, that is they do not add any colorations to the sound. We love them!!!!!! Strengths: Sound.
Build quaility.
Looks.
Ease of use.
Weaknesses: NONE! Similar Products Used: McIntosh

Price Paid:
$2695.00
from upscale audio Summary: Primaluna prologue 7 monoblocks---how sweet it is!
Amazing amps for this kind of price tag-or at any price for that matter.
If you seek amazing highs and lows.and great bass as well, these amps
from Primaluna offer sound reproduction as good as it gets at this price level-
and as good or better than amps double and triple the price in my opinion.
I am driving B&w 804s-90db speakers with the monoblocks,and I couldn't ask
for a sweeter sound. The primaluna prologue 3 preamp is a wonderful
combination with the prologue 7's as well.P rimaluns mates exceptionally well with the B&w's--like velvet. Kevin Deal at upscale audio really knows how to treat
customers right----I believe he is the main distributor of Primaluna---
He is extremely knowledgable-as is his staff--and a pleasure to deal with.
Primaluna-B&W-and Upscale Audio-it doesn't get any better--- Strengths: exquisite highs, lows, and everything in between
exceptional build quality-point to point wiring Weaknesses: dont waste time looking for weakness-there are none.

Price Paid:
$2695.00
from Upscale Audio Summary: Well I've had the Amps for 2 weeks and I have to say that I'm blown away by the quality of build and the improvement in sound in my system. I am running the midrange tweeter panels of my vintage Infinity RS1B's with the Progogue 7's and have my trusty Krell KSA 200s on the woofer panels.
The thing that really struck me was how the music was completely freed from the confines of the speakers...its really uncanny, the speakers seem to disappear like never before. This has made the music so much more involving. The soundstage seems to have completly opened up broken the bounds of both the speaker and the room. The width and depth is breathtaking revelation to me in my system.
Strengths: The ability to free the music from the boundries of the speakers.
Vocals are superb on these amps. I have had decent vocals in my previous set up (ARC VT100) but not as refined as the Prologue 7's.
They seem more powerful than they are rated. They drive the RS1B's mid/tweeter panels with ease and agility.
They put the music in the room like nothing I have ever had in my system. The sense of air around the musicians is 1st rate.
The build quality is superb and the price is a bargain. I had been auditioning amps (in my system) at nuch higher prices that were bettered by the Prologue 7's in both sound (in my system) and value. Weaknesses: None that I have seen. Similar Products Used: Conrad Johnson MV 75-A1
Audio Research VT 100
Conrad Johnson MV 60
Audio Research VT 100 -Mk3 (audition only)
Antique Sound Labs Hurricane (audition only)
