Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $1675.00

Summary:
I could not be happier with this amp. Solid build, heavy, huge power supply, great warm sound, everything I wanted in a power amp. I had a B&K and this amp is much smoother and provides deeper and tighter bass. All of my speakers are nominally 4 ohm and this amp does not mind a bit and any level. For the price you cannot beat it. I thought about a Sherbourn but I decided to stick to the one large power supply over the 5 mono amps in one chassis

Strengths:
Power, Sound, and Price.

Weaknesses:
I do not have 2 of them

B&K, Adcom

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $1000.00 from used

Summary:
I bought it used at a good price. Previously I used Acurus A200x5. I think Acurus produced smoother mid and upper. while Parasound produced tighter and deeper bass. If you listen to music more and have powered subwoofer, Acurus is a better choice ( for a used 5 channels amplifier under $1,000) This unit goes hot just 20 mins after I turned on. It is quite heavy( anyway,I didn''t move it that often)

Strengths:
Tight Deep Bass. Price, Power, THX

Weaknesses:
mid and upper somewhat too much, not so smooth..

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
