The model C272 Nad can beat any competidors until U$ 3k in terms of transparency, image and micro and macro dynamics than I have had heard up to present. However the bass is not quite the enough for drive exotic speakers, whose impedance lower 4 ohms, albeit the bass no is a deception, you could be able to like if you have goods speakers with good bass, however it is not clear and so deep as 840 W Cambridge ex.
Compared with the Jeff Rowland M2, which I own have one, the midrange is not so velvet such as Jeff, but it has clarity better and is smoth anymore. The highs also are not so transparent as Jeff, though the C272 is good as other good amplifiers than I have heard. On the whole the C 272 is a great performance amplifier and to be able compare at the best on the market of Hi end.
