Bottom Line:
I bought the Marantz to expand my Yamaha RX-A3040 into 7.2.4 configuration to power my front speakers. (Wharfedale Evo-50 Signature). For movies you can feel the impact and ambience. For Hifi I pair this with my Oppo HA-1 (DAC/Pre-Amplifier) and it is a good match with the Oppo and the Wharfedal speakers. The combo brings out the best in Music and Movies. You be pleasantly surprised how powerful this Marantz is. It is a steal for its price.I would spend more on the source and pre-amplification to bring the best out of the Marantz.
