Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $1000.00 from Buzzi hi-fi, Busto Arsizio, Italy

Summary:
My little baby it's ex-demo.
This little amp it's one of the best i'd ever heard.
It sounds brilliant and detailed but balanced and with great speed and dynamic.
It's got that kind of magic only great amps have.
The amp with the most similar sound i'd ever heard it's a Spectral.
My system: Thorens TD166, Copland CDA266, Audio Research LS-1, Sonus Faber Grand Piano Home, Cable Monster M1000i and TNT-FFRC (www.tnt-audio.com).

Strengths:
Trasparency, detail, balance, speed.

Weaknesses:
Less of power (only for large rooms or low efficency speakers), speaker connect too close to signal and A/C cord.

Similar Products Used:
Rotel, Meridian, Aragon, Tag McLaren

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $1500.00 from Natural Sound, Fammingham Ma

Summary:
This litte wonder, only 12" by 12" by 2 inches high and not even 25 pounds of weight will amaze any good listener with its ability to reveal every aspect of a recording. Here you have an amplifier with great transparency and clarity without being bright or harsh. Very balanced through the whole frequency range. This revealing amp will have looking cd after cd on your collection to discover details never discovered before.

Strengths:
Superb transparency, very natural, wide soundstage. Lot of punch for a 50 watt amp.

Weaknesses:
Only if you pretend to play it at very high sound levels with low efficiency speakers in a large room.

Similar Products Used:
Aragon, Adcom, Bryston

Review 3 of 3

Summary:
While waiting for my Memesis 28 to arrive for my main system, I used the small SRA in it's stead. This system is composed of a Goldmund Studio w/ van Den Hul Frog, Goldmund Classique-2, Audio Research CD2, Transparent cables and Marin Logans. The SRA performed unbelieably well. Impossible to believe from an amp of that size and price. The JOB circut is truely revolutionary. All I can say is run, don't walk to your nearest Goldmund dealer and buy one!

Strengths:
Extraordinary accuracy and very fast at an unbeatable price.

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Goldmund Mimesis 28, Levinson ML-3, Audio Research D-111

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
