Review 1 of 3

Summary:
The Mim 29 is a great sounding amplifier, no doubt. In terms of sound quality, it has few peers. However, as incredible as this amplifier sounds, anyone purchasing this unit should be aware that the quality on the thing stinks. Of the 6 months that the Mimesis 29 was supposed to be in the system, it was in Switzerland for more than half of that time getting fixed on several seperate occasions. Needless to say, the Mim 29 was replaced with something more reliable.

Strengths:
It is an incredible sounding amplifier

Weaknesses:
Reliability stinks

Review 2 of 3

Summary:
I'm also going to buy one !
This amp has nothing to do with current gear as Levinson, Krell... and others "beasts".
It really makes music, with no electronic sound at all.
My Avalons are going to sing better again !

Strengths:
Natural, free, open, airy, right... musical !

Weaknesses:
??????

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
