Sound staging wide and deep , wonderfull slam and dynamics, warm and great sound

I bought the Electrocompaniet AW-100DMB in 2006 for 650 euro. Two weeks ago the amp was ugraded with the FTT upgrade kit from EC at HifiStudio Wittman in Stuttgart (germany).People at HifiStudio Wittmann did a great job to my equipment. Before it as a beautifull, warm and big sounding amp but not really fast amplifier. I was really emaized about the extreme plus of space and slam it got after the upgrade. It's wonderfull warm and fast sounding amplifier now, I ever owned in al my audiofile life. I am using it with a Classé CP-35 and a Audia Flight CD Two and a pair of B & W 805S speakers. Spacing, air, super dynamics without any sharpness are the most significant quality of this set. The music gets a kind of magic that the whole audio set seems to disapear when playing. Audio reproduction at it's best !

before the dmb100 i used a sphinx project14 (a dutch top poweramp, same league as ML/KRELL/CLASSE J.rowland etc) the 14 was the best amp i ever heard. But after a defect, and repair , i sold it. After listning to sereval amps i bought the dmb100. It's even beter as the sphinx. Most likely i'm going to buy (secondhand) another dmb100, zo i can brigde them. Why? need more power to drive my speakers.

I bought this amp used for 1400.00 mine is the newer version with the bi-amp,balanced xlr's ect.This amp is a dream come true,it has all the benifits of the best tube designs and solid state,and is the best of both that i have heard.Compared to the krell 300i i had before this it's much smoother, has a bigger and deeper soundstage,better midrange resolution and is just as detailed without the harsh highs of the krell.This amp is closest to classe only with better placement of instruments in the soundstage and a lively sound that is easier to get into than the dark overall sound that lulls one to sleep with the classe.I am told they still make this amp but don,t sell it in the u.s. at least not under the aw100 model name and that the aw120 is virtually the same amp,just sold for more money but has the same sound and specs.At ant rate this amp is a steal at list,and one of the true bargans in a world of overpriced audiophile gear. Highly recomended

it took me 2 years doing my research before i decide on ELECTROCOMPANIET.2 set of aw100dmb(REFERENCE MONITOR)model plus EC4 PRE AMP.i bought 2set for bi-amp or stereo bridging with EC4 PRE AMP.CD player hooked up via cd balance rca input just recently, though my cdp has no balanced output.i decided to bridge in stereo mode using two rca interconnect from the pre amp(300watt r.m.s.?).when used through the normal cd input the power was very big that i only listen up to 10'o'clock! and the whole house was filled with music....JULIE LONDON'S (SWAY) really make me brim, and when she sang (come on to my house)i really thought i'll get what she promised.this cd remastered by capitol record is really superb and i could easily hear her breath and emotion or whatever you may call it in not only stereo but live! in my hall.SAM BUTERA and JACKIE GLEASON'S presence could make me cry thinking i've finally get to feel and enjoy the sound of SAX and BIG BAND music of yesteryears.the soaring screeching brass and individual solo's from musicians of the 50's /60's.THE GERRY MULLIGAN & CHAT BAKER live at carnegie was simply LIVING.NOW i connect the cdp through the balanced rca input and WOWW! the cleaninest and clarity improved measurably,but the power & size of the sound decrease mainly due the disappearance of another veil/screen(noises from the low frequencies i suppose)THIS TIME i can crank up the volume to 10.30 to 11.00hr to fill up the whole house!it is very important to get a really matching cables to hear a real cornet or LOIS ARMSTRONG'S BLOWING.I'D SAY my cdp is way down in hifi standard and i easily detact it's weaknesses, as in certain recording the texture of the acoustic bass guitar clearly heard right up the string's plugged.(TELARC)LA VIENTA'S JAZZMENCO ALBUM tought me to clearly define an ACOUSTIC,CLASSICAL OR STEEL STRING GUITAR'S difference in sound.and this difference could easily be heard in my system when two different string was strummed.finally but not last i'd say what can you get for your money? (class a amp)compared to what ELECTROCOMPANIET can offer you.i have auditioned some great HI END products like YBA,MCINTOSH,MF,MCCORMACK,KRELL AND a few others and i felt no reason why i should spend lot more money for their brand.so based on price and performance i am sure this ELECTROCOMPANIET deserves all the stars.WHO ELSE OR WHICH PRODUCT can offer what the ELECTRO gave(CLASS A) AT THIS PRICE! This ampis superb . It works clearly and gives good sound.
that is the best amp i never see with absolute dynamic.
My system : Conrad P123; wadia 1.2 ; Magnepan SG 3.5 ; Siltech and Transparent cables.
