Price Paid:  $1200.00 from San Francisco

Summary:
A fine amplifier, I've used it for nearly 20 years to drive Apogee Duetta Signatures. It's smooth, immensely powerful and capable of driving difficult loads with ease. I bought it specifically to drive the Apogees because they're pretty demanding - below 2 ohms at some frequencies. It handles them with ease. With Adcom amps driving Hsu Research subs through a Rane active crossover the combination is very satisfying.

The amp is beefy though! Weighing 90+ lbs it can be difficult to move around. I have mine on a wheeled table. It can be configured for 2, 3, or 4 channels as well making it a nice addition to any high end surround system.

Strengths:
Powerful (512 watts into 8 ohms, 812 watts into 4) - smooth, quick, not dark, not brittle.... just right! A fine piece of work, made in Massachusetts. Configurable for 2, 3 or 4 channels - great for bi-amping, driving stereo speakers and one subwoofer or driving 4 channels of any surround system.

Weaknesses:
Hard to move around - put it on wheels!
