Bottom Line: I have to start by saying I am a tube lover and I believe there are some magic that only tubes can do. That is why so many SS amps are made to sound like them, yet, so many have fallen short or failed miserably. CJ 350 is not one of them. It is definitely an SS amp with very neutral and natural voicing. It is very musical too, producing one of the cleanest and most transparent upper-mids I have ever heard. Bass has excellent definition but not as powerful as the best Krells. It is very capable of creating a huge sound stage and make those hard to drive speakers disappear. I have them driving Thiel and Focus Masters with ease. Those who need big amps must hear this one before spending huge.
I will go back to tubes one day but the CJ is a keeper. In years to come, my taste will change so will my gears but I will always have this amp as a backup and knowing if I need to go looking for another SS, I won’t need to go finding.
