Summary:
What can you say about Conrad Johnson that a serious listening session won't tell you?

This amp is from my favorite period of CJ products, the late '80's to the late '90's. (Not that the later stuff isn't fantastic, I just can't afford it.) The amp pours out smooth graceful elegant power to spare with even the tough speakers. Soundstage and that glorious 3D imaging that CJ can do so well are superb. Definitely a "Big Dog" amp. 65 film capacitors, 4 input tubes ( 5751's), a 54 lbs transformer, and 10 sets of mosfets in the output stage gives this true hybrid amp a tubish dimensionality with the power, speed, and clarity of a great zero feedback solid state amp.

Coupling with high resolution preamps will yield fabulous results. Sonically there are no downsides, if you can deal with the logistics of this behemoth, 19"X10"X22" @ 114 lbs and don't mind a hot running amp (I always have a fan blowing across it), do check this beauty out should you have the chance to do so.

Rated conservatively at 200watts@ 8 ohm per channel.
