My dealer discovered from Classe November 25, 2016 that the CA-2300($7000) is
discontinued. The CT-2300 is still available ($6500us)(7500can). PROS: Demo and at home use I noticed was phenomenal, articulation very refined, bass controlled intense and deep, midrange treble very revealing detailed very neutral, even at extremely low/high volumes and extremely solid sound stage imagery. Clearly, its not an average amp for a 2 channel design. PROS: The fan (ictunnel) cools the unit well. CONS: The fan is lightly heard in a silent room, but only runs when needed. PROS: CAN-Bus to control unit via CAT5 network. CONS: CAN-Bus is not working for me, difficult to resolve communication issue with my other Classe gear but service is good and has the service call to resolve this. PROS: Updated OS software installed via usb and startup is quicker. CONS: Drivers must found and install on your laptop to support USB to UART connection before running the update. Lowers ease of use. PROS: Documents now come on a 1GB USB Drive. CONS: Missing specials drivers on the same USB Drive.

Performance compared to my previously loved ($2000us) Rotel RT-1090 380x2, is not even fair to discuss. Just so far apart in leagues. Classe is huge improvement in performance, features and build quality, its not fair to judge the two side by side. Only area where it might be considered closer is in the upper bass and maximum watts which is amazing for the underdog. PROS: Classe is rated at 300w 8ohm but does 340+watts below 1%, far far more transparent and more exciting presentation as it should be, costing 3.5x more.
