Bottom Line: I upgraded from a Yamaha reciever to seperates situation, combining a Krell HTS 7.1 pre-pro with the Bel Canto evo6. Thaes are played through B & W speakers all around (Nautilus 805s, inwalls and center channel). The mating of the revealing Krell with the warmer Bel Canto is a great one. Tremendous liquid midrange, and upper bass. I use a Martin Logan depth subwoofer, so the deep bass is handled elsewhere. All I can say is that the unit has more than enough [power for transients, no grain and it even keeps its cool. You can touch it anytime, its only 10-15 warmer than room temperature.
This is because of the switching amp . It is over 90% efficient, compared to classic push pull Class A design, which is 30 % efficient.
You can bridge channels with a push of a button and a slight rearrangement of the speaker wires on the posts. If I ever get big power hungry floorstanders that need more power than the 120W (8 ohm), I will buy another evo and bridge the channels.

Bottom Line: The product year is actually 2002.
I will keep it short because there
are plenty of reviews and awards
posted on the net for review.
I will say that i am amazed and
completely happy with the EVO6.
It is an amazing amp.. I highly
recommend it. wouldent dream of
swapping for anything else.
Oh and i think the previous reviewer
had mistaken the EVO6 for the Paramid
super crapblaster 2000 amp/battery
charger he bought at the flea market
for 6 bucks. Better luck next time
guy.. the EVO6 is a world class amp.
If your really lucky you can hear one
someday. Oh yeah and those arent speaker
wires they are jumper cables.
