1 Reviews
rating  5 of 5
MSRP  3995.00
Description: The chassis, circuit layout and feature set of the VS110 are almost identical to the VS55, but scaled up to accomodate the greater power output. The chassis itself measures 17 1/2" W by 19" D, and features an anodized, natural-finish top plate labeled with tube location/type, output-tube bias access points and the inset Audio Research logo. The chassis front holds a rocker-style power switch and green LED "on" indicator. The chassis rear provides the 0-4-8 ohm 5-way binding posts, voltmeter test points for setting bias, a 12V in/out trigger and a detachable 14-gauge A.C. line cord with IEC socket.

Summary:
VS110, the big brother of VS55. It's a powerful tuby sounding amp. Unlike vt100 which sounds a bit lean as compared to vs110. Tubes are uncovered; the sound is more open, more revealing and warmer. Rich with smooth details. Power tubes can be biased easily to ensure the longest tube life at peak performance. VS110 is also powerful enough to drive a pair of Martin Logan with ease. Yes, VS110 is the amp to keep.

Strengths:
Sweet, warm sounding with more body, powerful, easy to bias.

Weaknesses:
Missing tube cage. Lack of style.
