Price Paid:  $75.00 from www.hifimagasinet.co

Summary:
I bought this power amp for a secondary system. My main system consists of McCormack components that I'll keep for ever(!), but I needed something to fill a small room that could be used for A/V as well as straight audio purposes.

I am totally satisfied, particularly given the almost-giveaway price you can pick up one of these for. If I were to place this amp side by side next to my McCormack DNA amp, I'm sure I'd find it to be thin on the bottom and tinny on the top. However, at its given pricepoint (even when new), this amp is screaming "Buy me".

In addition, the ability to switch between 2 channel and true 4 channel is nice added feature (although I have yet to use it).

Strengths:
Superior sound at a very cheap price--it does just what you expect. Clean highs, solid mid, and reasonably full low end. Relatively spacial soundstage. It won't satisfy Krell or Levinson owners, but when compared to midprice-range offerings, it's sound is very comparable at a fraction of the price. Totally solid build--seems like you could drop it off the roof and it would still perform perfectly.

Weaknesses:
Hard to find any at this price, but... it does produce an audible pop when switched on.

Similar Products Used:
I've had Denon and NAD products and this compares to them. Versus AMC products (another solidly-built yet inexpensive offering), the sound of the Audio Pro is far superior.
