Summary:
This being my first experience with an OTL amplifier, was a revelation. I have owned many tube amps in the past, SET to high power, and these were the first amplifiers I have ever heard that deliver extensions in the highs like nothing else. Cymbals sound like they are supposed to sound, never any grain or etch and there seems to be no limitations. These are the fastest tube amps I have heard and by a wide margin. It is very noticable.

One of the other things that get me about the MA2 MKII.2's is the control of the bottom end of the music. It is so detailed and open, and they never seem to be streching to do something they cannot. Everything seems to be so effortless for these amps.

The best part is the midrange. Voices float in the air and envelop you without losing focus from where the singer is standing. Violin solos are glorious and the rest of the orchestra is there in place where they should be.

I am using these amps to drive Wilson MAXX speakers and it is the finest combination I have heard.

Do yourself a favor and listen to an Atma-sphere amplifier. They do not disappoint.

Strengths:
Speed, transparency, tonal accuracy and extension.

Weaknesses:
Well, they have 52 tubes.

Similar Products Used:
Lots.
