Review 1 of 1

Summary:
After 6 monthe of research, this is the best kit for the money bar none.On the Plus side:
The kit came with Sovteck KT88's, Potted transformers, Multicap Capaciters, Chome chassis( all pre drilled) Bias meter and switch,Gold face Plate, and Spike feet. Took about 12 hours to build.

On the minus side:
The instructions suck. Plain and simple. There are items that you are never told to install. The skematics do not match the parts. The power transformer needed to have its nounting holes re drilled.

Note. For experienced builders or electronic techs only.

Final product:
Excellent. A very beautifull amp. This amp has almost no hum or hiss. Its sonic qualities are excellent. Excelent detail, great imaging and warmth. I definetly recomend efficient speakers though (as with all tube amps).

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
