Review NaN of , from lagrangeville, ny, usa

Price Paid:  $3500.00 from Audiogon

Summary:
This is a review as well as asking for help. I bought a pair of ASL's 1009 monoblocks from Singapore. Came with no manual. Plugged it in and turned it on. Hum. Static hum. There are three control knobs plus a small see-through meter on each unit. The knobs are labelled Vb1, Vb2, and Vb1-Vb2. The last one is just a switch selecting between Vb1 or Vb2.

These amps throw a deep sound stage, and sweet without being mushy.

But I am sure if I know how to use them right---like how to bias the thing---there ought to be better results.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.

Strengths:
Sweet and deep sound stage.

Weaknesses:
I don't know how to bias these tube amps.

Similar Products Used:
My first tube amps.
