This is almost ultimate Hi-END power amplifier with authentic Accuphase sound, very clear fast and precise. It is build like a tank with great design that have modern look, golden case with wooden sides and over-sized VU meters that can be turned off. Looks very upscale considering up to day standards. Following hi-fi and hi-end audio for about 15 years I had a chance to hear a lot of gear and I have to say that P-500 is outstanding. It can stand against any vintage or modern power amplifier in solid state A/B class. 6 push pull stages with Toshiba mosfet transistors deliver about 250W ( 8ohm) of pure power with damping factor about 500, so you can drive heavy speakers or just have more dynamic and smoother presentation with some reserved power on the side. It can be bridged so you can use 2 of them in mono mode. No matter what type of music you listen it will sound dynamic and fast with astonishing details depending on the rest of the system. Power amp is very transparent so you can tune final sound of the system by adding more natural open pre-amplifier like Accuphase or use more laid back darker sounding brands to go with. This amp can match any speaker but you would like to have some big floor-standers like B&W 800 or KEF Reference series so you can feel great and powerful bass along with big sound stage in the pure hi-end reality.

One of the best power amps I have used not sure if I would pay $7000 to buy new but at $3000 second hand you can not beat this powerful , punchy bass and beautiful to look at ... Can be bridged for future upgrade to run as a mono block ..
