from CrazyEddie.com Summary: I purchased this receiver as an upgrade from a Sony STR-DE875 I used mostly for home theater. Indeed, what an upgrade it has been!! The Sony served as a solid "entry level" receiver, but it doesn't come close to the Yammie RX-V2200. First off, the RX-V2200 is one powerful receiver at 100 watts RMS x 6-channels. This is evident on the weight of the unit at 43lbs, which tells you the massive power supply inside this receiver. I'm talking CLEAN, detailed (not overly bright, just right...) sound for both stereo and movies. The unit has a "world" worth of connections in the back panel, very versatile. Very solid construction with all the "bells and whistles", easy to setup, highly recommended for those looking to move up from their entry-level system. Strengths: 100W x 6 RMS power
