from Audio Centre Summary: I bought this in November 1996 as part of a home theatre system BEFORE home theatre took off. The sound is outstanding and coupled with a Panasonic HiFi VCR, Toshiba DVD and Marantz CD player, I have never been disappointed with it. This is a piece that I think will serve me for many, many years. Strengths: Great Features, Crisp clear sound, good quality system, awesome surround ability Weaknesses: Not digital

Review 5 of 9 Summary: I upgraded from my Sony STR-DE515 and got this baby. My Sony was good for listening to music, but not so good for surround on movies, I ended up getting this baby from my friend and boy let me tell yea, I put on gone in 60 seconds in my Toshiba DVD, and it woke me up!.. This thing is amazing! Good surround sound and a real bang for the buck!
I am now a true fan of Yamaha! Strengths: very powerful! Weaknesses: none Similar Products Used: I had a STR-DE515 but there was no match for this baby!
