Price Paid:  $2500.00 from Sound Works

Summary:
I waited for years to find this receiver at a price that I could afford, and finally in 2006 the Gods smiled upon me. I have owned many components in the last 40+ years: Dynaco, McIntosh, Marantz, Phase Leniar, Carver, etc.
The Sunfire Ultimate Receiver meets all of my needs as well desires: tube warm sound from transistors, lots of power, controls for all aspecet that one could iminage, good looks, as well as cool operations.
Matched with my 907 Focal electria Bees the sound is absoultely real in timber, space, aspect, and reality.
I feel certain that I have finally purchased the last piece of electronic gear for this life time.
Thanks Bob Carver for another super product that does not truly break the bank.
The remote controls all of my other components: HD TV, Sat, DVD recorder, SACD
unit,Turntable,CD changer, VCR, CD recorder,etc.

Strengths:
Power, dynamics, tone, etc.

Weaknesses:
Absolutely none

Similar Products Used:
Owned Yamaha 2095 and RXV 3000 very decent units, but not in the sonic class of the Sunfire for sound

Price Paid:  $1500.00 from Ultimate electronics

Summary:
I'm happy now. I was in the stereo business back in the 70's and had the bug since them. Upgraded continuously, then crashed and sold it all. went to receivers but they never solded as good to me as my old (memory) seperates.
That's been rectified. this machine has the sound I want. Plenty of power for the Magnepans (they need it) and easy enough for my (why doesn't it just go) wife.
Plus it has a great FM tuner, something everyone else skimps on.

Pioneer and Denon DVD players
Pioneer CD
Panamax conditioner
Velodyne sub
Magnepan 1.6QR
Magnepan MGCC1
Polk
Mistsubishi 52' 1080 DLP
Thorens table

Strengths:
Clean articulate power. Easy to use. 5 year warrenty.

Weaknesses:
Box is too deep for the shelf I have it on. Can't think of any others.

Similar Products Used:
Pioneer Elite VSX -9TX , Phase Linear 200, Parasound 1205, varios integrateds
