This is a nice amp with good features. It has two HDMI inputs and a 3rd on the front. I use it without the front channels where it acts as a preamp for my Adcom Monoblocs. The amps are clean and have great sound at high volumes. The setup process is a cinch to use with the autocalibration and the accompanying microphone. It has plenty of features and overall is a great low cost A/V receiver Strengths:

One of the most agrevating features (or lack thereof) on this amp is it does not allow pass through video. In other words you cannot listen to XM and have a satellite TV picture onthe screen at the same time. I contacted Sony and they confirmed it is the amp by design and not user error on my art. I will be replacing this amp because of this and see no reason why ot was designed like this. In fact, if I am listening to an Audio CD on my Sony 400 disk DVD changer and it has the creen saver on the TV frm the changer, accessing the on screen menu from the receiver immediately cuts out the audio from the CD!
