Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $120.00 from unknown

Summary:
This receiver was given to me on a birthday over two years ago to use as a receiver for mainly listening to music. The subwoofer that came with it is of low quality but will work with certain types of music. I use the receiver mainly to charge two 3 foot home speakers with subwoofers built in. I started having problems with it about six months ago, where I can only play it to a certain level and then it turns itself off. That is the only complaint I have. Good for dorm rooms and college life. Cheap enough to afford and enough power to keep things lively.

Strengths:
Good for music, surround sound is okay for some movies.

Weaknesses:
Mine turns off at loud levels... but this only started happening recently. Now I can barely push it past three bars.

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $179.00 from sams club

Summary:
Got this as a gift for xmas 2 years ago. It was my first hometheater system. Did ok for a while, good if your just a casual listner, I would suggest throwing away the base that comes with it and buying another one, it sucks big time. If u can not figure out how to hook this thing up then u are an idiot, even without out a manual, the instructions are on the back of the base! duh...

Strengths:
not much, its about as basic as u can get

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $80.00 from Discount Store

Summary:
I would say for a starter home theater package cheap and easy to set up this is a good one to buy. I don't see the problem with setting it up ass the other reviews did. All wires are color cordinated and hook up right into their homes easy.

Strengths:
Fun to use for starters. Fun to listen to cool dvds im a great place. Really load sounds.

Weaknesses:
Not two many weekness, but has a large subwoofer, it takes up a lot of room.

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $99.00 from dont remember- some discount place....

Summary:
It is really cool. I love the fact that it has sleep mode, and you can turn off the bright light when you are sleeping. It is fun for classical music, and blasting the hell out of those speakers!!!. I do not see any flaws in this product, maybe some say it's hard to hook up, the only thing I had trouble with was the speakers, and that is true with all recievers

Strengths:
great!!! It works with my boston CR-4's. At first I bought it because it was cheap... but it works GOOOOOOD!!! Easy to use

Weaknesses:
None really. Kinda hard to hook up. cant figure if it has fiber optics.
