Review NaN of , from Wynnewood, PA, US

Summary:
My experience is consistent with that of the other reviews.
On moderate volume the unit has a clean and rather precise sound. The precision of the simulated center speaker and the prologic sound is quite good. However in turning up the volume and trying to compensate for the lack of bass the unit will trigger overload protection and shut down. I have one of these for a little over a year. Used it to drive a pair of Infinity Delta 60 speakers, Delta Center. I find it hard to believe the 4x100 Watt spec. Also, the remote control is rather difficult to use because it is full of equally sized minuscule and identical keys with hard to read legends. The result is that nobody else in the house uses the remote except me. Finaly, it is hard to hook thick cables to the speaker connectors because they snap out easily. It is a good entry level theather to watch cable TV movies.

Strengths:
Price, precise imaging, neat front panel controls.

Weaknesses:
Lack of power, frail speaker connectors, hard to use remote.

Review NaN of , from nyc

Summary:
it's a good system, especially when running the dvd moive. i assume it's the weakest link in the whole system ,but for now it's good enough for some wkend movie experience. i will upgrade the system once the dreaded stuent loan is pay off or greatly reduced. excellent price $129 from onsale.com what could u want more from a 3-4 yrs old model? in today's digital age. good music also.

Strengths:
good entry system for a starving student

Weaknesses:
no dts, and the other fancy stuff

Review NaN of , from St.Paul, Minnesota, USA

Summary:
For all students out there, this is the reciver for you. I picked it up at Circuit City for $150. It really preforms if you're looking for a good musical receiver, very clean with good imaging, but the bass is a little frail. As soon as I started running movies I noticed it stuggling with some of the high output scenes, but it was not noticeable enough for me to start to complaining. Bottom Line: you cannot beat the price for the sound.

Review NaN of

Summary:
Got this on sale for $129. I used it as the basis for an inexpensive system for my kids in the basement. Sound quality is a little brittle and masked, bass is very light. Imaging is not bad, and it delivers some quite pleasant results on pro-logic encoded tapes.
The unit is rated at 4X100 watts continuous power, but I have a hard time believing this spec. The unit definitely lacks the 'muscle' of my 100 watt/channel stereo amp.

For $129, this unit was a real steal--just don't expect too much from it.
