from Garage Sale Summary: Difficult to figure out the AM/FM tuner presets but eventually figured it out.
The uppper frequencies are very crisp and it delivered remarkable audio performance while only hooked up to two Pinacle book shelf speakers.
It is a 5.1 surround sound tuner/amplifier but sounded very good on only the two speakers. It does not have any kind of a subwoofer port. So, I don't know the low frequency capabilities yet. I have not yet hooked up all of the other surround speaker outputs yet. I was exceptionally happy with the initial performance ot this Tuner/Amplifier. I was pleased with the price paid and the quality of this unit. As usual, it delivered the traditional Pioneer Electronics sound quality. Strengths: Very good buy for the money.
The sound quality and performance was exceptional.
I am using it to replace one of my older Fisher systems in my office.
Remote controls and numerous ohter parts are still available for this unit on the Pioneer Electronics website. Weaknesses: Difficult to preset radio tuner stations without the manual.
The web has an article on how to do it. Similar Products Used: Sansui 9090DB
