Price Paid:  $580.00 from one call

Summary:
This is one of onkyo's best!!! It has every home theater mode imaginable, and it is at an incredible affordable price considering it is an onkyo, one of the most respected. This reciever is driving 2 paradigm 7semk3 for the mains and NHT Super Zero's as the center and rears. Now the Super Zero's aren't effecient, but excellet speakers :), however this reciever makes you forget that concept and thrills you with outstanding effects. The only flaw back is that when you are listening to a 2 channel audio mode it doesn't deliever as much bass to the speaker as you want it. Onkyo's old selective tone would have fixed but they got rid of it. I even tried different speakers (Atoms) as the mains and same problem. My former onkyo tx-sv727 had much better bass delivery in 2-ch, however, this reciever is flawless when used for home theater! I would recommend getting a sub for the 2ch mode. Net-tune is what makes this reciever unique, allowing you to play mp3's right on your reciever form your computer, with no "skips"
This is a Must buy!!!!!!!

Strengths:
Great Sound Processer! Great Price and Net- Tune!!!!

Weaknesses:
Not the bet bass delivery on stereo mode, surround back speakers ports are shared with zone 2 ports, but no biggie.

Summary:
Great Sound and ease of use. Have a Denon before but this amp is more powerful and fantastic for listening to music or watching a movie.

Strengths:
Ease of use and user friendly remote. Have all the latest decoders and ability to listen to world wide radio through the Net.

Weaknesses:
Manual could have been made easier to read and some of the instructions were not very clear.
